Jarkko Rantanen

The Portrait Project is a series of portraits by painter Jarkko Rantanen, which includes over a hundred paintings of different people from everyday life. The starting point of the painting series was the desire to paint from a living model and the opportunity to also see the model's personality and let it influence the painting process. The models were asked to arrive as their everyday selves. In most of the portraits, the models are sitting on the same chair in the artist's studio.
