Muotokuvaprojekti on taidemaalari Jarkko Rantasen maalaama muotokuvien sarja, joka sisältää yli sata maalausta ihmisistä arjen keskeltä. Maalaussarjan lähtökohtana on ollut halu maalata elävästä mallista ja mahdollisuus nähdä mallin persoonaa ja antaa sen vaikuttaa maalausprosessiin. Malleja pyydettiin saapumaan paikalle omana arkisena itsenään. Suurimmassa osassa muotokuvista mallit istuvat samalla tuolilla taiteilijan ateljeessa.
The Portrait Project is a series of portraits by painter Jarkko Rantanen, which includes over a hundred paintings of people from everyday life. The starting point of the painting series was the desire to paint from a living model and the opportunity to see the model's personality and let it influence the painting process. The models were asked to arrive as their everyday selves. In most of the portraits, the models are sitting on the same chair in the artist's studio.
